Oberkramer takes 5th in Spring Nationals prelim
Mason Oberkramer returned to the cockpit of his Oberkramer Trucking No. 93 Super Late Model over the weekend for the 12th annual Spring Nationals at Lucas Oil Speedway. Competing in strong fields of 40 or more cars, he qualified for both features at the 3/8-mile oval in Wheatland, Missouri, and captured a top-five result in the Friday opener.
Oberkramer finished third in his Friday heat race at the state-of-the-art facility, putting him on the fifth row to begin the $7,000-to-win A-Main. He climbed five spots in the 40-lapper and came home fifth behind Hudson O’Neal, Jonathan Davenport, Brandon Overton and Mike Marlar.
On Saturday, Oberkramer took fourth in his heat and went on to start 13th and finish 14th in the 60-lap, $20,000-to-win finale.
