Oberkramer scores Steve Rushin Memorial victory

Show-Me State native Mason Oberkramer competed close to home on Saturday when he took part in the Super Late Model portion of the Steve Rushin Memorial at Poplar Bluff (Mo.) Motorsports Park. He left with the $4,014 first-place check after leading every lap he was on the track.

Sixteen Super Late Models were on hand at the 3/8-mile oval, where Oberkramer won his heat race from the pole, then started on the front row in the 40-lap main event.

He led wire to wire in the race, taking the victory by 6.471 seconds over Kaleb Stolba. Charlie Cole, Robby Moore and Chris Jones completed the top five.

The victory was Oberkramer’s third overall in the 2023 season. He concludes the year with four top-five results and five top-10 finishes.
