Mason Oberkramer takes on Show-Me 100
Over Memorial Day weekend, Mason Oberkramer competed in the 33rd annual Show-Me 100 events at Wheatland, Missouri’s Lucas Oil Speedway. He raced against strong Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) fields hovering around 50 cars each night.
On Thursday, 49 LOLMDS competitors were in the pits at the 3/8-mile “Diamond of Dirt Tracks” to kick off racing action with the 12th annual Cowboy Classic. Oberkramer drove his Premier Custom Homes No. 93 Super Late Model to seventh in his heat race. He then finished eighth in his B-Main, bringing his evening to a close before the $10,000-to-win, 45-lap feature.
Another $10,000 was up for grabs on Friday when 50 Super Late Models competed at Lucas Oil Speedway in the Tribute to Don and Billie Gibson. Oberkamer was unable to move into the 40-lap main event through his heat, and although he claimed fourth in his consolation race, he was just one position shy of a transfer spot.
Saturday saw 51 LOLMDS racers in Wheatland for the $75,000-to-win, 100-lap finale. Oberkamer took the fifth spot in his B-Main and finished third in the Non-Qualifers race to conclude his Show-Me 100.
