Oberkramer scores top-5 results in multiple divisions at Poplar Bluff

Mason Oberkramer hopped behind the wheel of both a Modified and a Late Model at Poplar Bluff (Missouri) Motorsports Park over the weekend. He finished no worse than fourth at the 3/8-mile clay oval.

On Friday, Oberkramer piloted an Open Modified for the first time, filling in for the injured Shawn Knuckles in the 29-car Chad McCoy Memorial. He opened his night in the No. 76 car with a heat-race win from the pole. He went on to start seventh in the 45-lap, $4,514-to-win feature and came home fourth in the fifth annual event. He took the checkered flag after Tyler Stevens, Charlie Mefford and Drake Findley, with Landon Meilke claiming fifth.

Saturday saw Oberkramer steer his familiar Oberkramer Trucking No. 93 Super Late Model as part of a 22-car field in the third annual Steve Rushin Memorial. After driving from fifth to the runner-up spot in his heat, he started second in the $4,514-to-win A-Main. He led early in the 45-lapper before getting stuck behind a lapped car, allowing Tanner English to pass for the lead.

Oberkramer ultimately finished second behind English, with Sawyer Crigler, Tyler Kuykendall and Chevy Boyer completing the top five.
