Podium finish in Fall Nationals opener at Lucas Oil Speedway

Saturday night saw Mason Oberkramer return with the Lucas Oil Midwest LateModel Racing Association (MLRA) at Lucas Oil Speedway (Wheatland, Mo.) for the two-day Fall Nationals. Drawing 33 cars, Mason followed up the second fastest time in his qualifying group behind Garrett Alberson with a 10-lap heat race victory. With $3,000 on the line in the feature, Oberkramer faded one spot in the 40-lap affair to register a third place finish behind Ryan Gustin and Billy Moyer with Kyle Beard and Tony Jackson Jr. rounding out the Top-5. The following night for the $5,000-to-win finale, Oberkramer came in fourth in his time trial group before jumping up one spot in his heat race to pick up the win. Starting the feature in second, Mason slid ahead of polesitter Billy Moyer Jr. on the lap 16 before the pair took part in a side-by-side battle for the next 10 circuits. Dropping outside the Top-5 late in the 50-lapper, Mason Oberkramer notched a sixth place finish.
