Runner-up finish in Hell Tour debut at Springfield Raceway

Mason Oberkramer made his first start with the DIRTcar Summer Nationals on Thursday evening at Springfield Raceway (Springfield, Mo.) for the ninth round of the Hell Tour. In a field of 28 cars, Oberkramer followed up the fifth fastest time in his group with a fourth place finish in his heat. Starting the $5,000-to-win A-Main in 12th, Mason marched forward 10 spots on the low-side to finish second behind Frank Heckenast Jr. with Brian Shirley, Jesse Stovall, and Dennis Erb Jr. rounding out the Top-5.
