Pair of Top 10 finishes in ARMI Freedom Classic at Salina Highbanks

Mason Oberkramer traveled to Lucas Oil Speedway (Wheatland, Mo.) on Wednesday night to kick off the four-day stretch with the Lucas Oil Midwest LateModel Racing Association (MLRA). In a field of 36 cars, Mason followed up the 10th fastest time in his group with a third place finish in his heat. Starting the opening night feature in 12th, Oberkramer was one of five cars that were involved in a tangle on lap 16 that sidelined him for the remainder of the evening.

On Thursday at Outlaw Motor Speedway (Oktaha, Okla.), Oberkramer edged his way into the $3,000-to-win A-Main with the fourth and final transfer spot in his heat race. Rolling off 14th, Mason was an early retiree from the 40-lapper on the 11th lap.

On Saturday night for the $5,000-to-win finale, Oberkramer secured his spot into the main event with a second place finish in his heat behind Payton Looney. Losing four positions in the 40-lap affair, Mason recorded a ninth place outing.
