Oberkramer Spends Memorial Day Weekend with Comp Cams at West Plains

After Mother Nature shifted Friday night’s program to Sunday, Mason Oberkramer made the short trip to Legit Speedway Park (West Plains, Mo.) on Saturday night for the Comp Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) doubleheader. With a stout field of 49 cars on hand for the Missouri Hardwoods Back to the Future 50, Oberkramer locked his spot into the $10,000-to-win A-Main with a second place finish in his heat behind Payton Looney. Falling shy of a Top-10 finish in the 50-lap affair, Mason slipped back to an 18th place outing.

The following night for the West Plains Resaw Back to Business 30, Mason edged his way into the finale with the fourth and final transfer spot in his heat race. With Karl Chevrolet boosting the purse of the feature to $9,000, Oberkramer held his spot for all 30-laps to register a 13th place finish. (Mike Musslin photo | Checkered Flag Photography)
