Oberkramer attends Show-Me 100 weekend at Wheatland
After losing Thursday’s Cowboy Classic to wet weather, Mason Oberkramer debuted in his brand new Capital Race Car on Friday afternoon at Lucas Oil Speedway (Wheatland, Mo.) for the 30th annual Show-Me 100 weekend. (Todd Boyd photo)
Drawing a stout field of 63 Late Models for the event co-sanctioned by the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) and Lucas Oil Midwest LateModel Racing Association (MLRA), Oberkramer’s ninth-place finish in his heat race relegated him into the B-Main for another shot at the $6,000-to-win Tribute to Don & Billie Gibson preliminary feature. Needing to place second or better, Mason fell short with a ninth-place outing.
With his finish in his B-Main on Friday transferring him into one of three consolation events on Saturday for another shot at the $50,000-to-win Show-Me 100, Mason passed five cars but missed a transfer position by two spots with a fourth-place finish.Back to News
